Communications connectivity is a critical part of enhancing infrastructure development as well as the safety for first responders and the public who depend on them.Augmenting design and construction teams with the ability to collect live data to tune propagation modeling and to fly a drone at the location and height of a planned structure or installation is used to verify how it contributed to system design and in-turn reduces costs and resource requirements.First responders benefit through better communications and increased situational awareness.
These systems are safer, more reliable, and can be autonomous; a physical tether links power and communications to the sUAS. Untethered solutions are typically limited to 30 minutes of flight time.Tethered ones offer days of continuous flight time, absolute positional accuracy, and protection from exploitation or inadvertent fly-away.They extend communications during emergencies and provides situational awareness improving the ability to keep individuals safer.
