1. Please tell us about your priorities in 2019.
Pelco’s priorities for 2019 are influenced by worldwide trends in the security industry. As a result, we will be focusing on enhancing cloud connectivity and cybersecurity for our customers. In addition, VideoXpert is Pelco’s best-selling surveillance solution, so this video management system will be our primary solution focus moving forward. We are also planning to establish and perfect Pelco Professional Services, which will include VxCare, a three-tier service plan for VideoXpert owners available worldwide this May. Overall, we are highly invested in providing end-to-end video surveillance solutions for our customers, so this priority will remain the same in 2019 and beyond.
2. Kindly tell us about the concept behind EcoStruxure IoT platform and how it has eased the pain in managing large buildings and home complexes?
EcoStruxure is a solution from our mother company Schneider Electric.
EcoStruxure is IoT-enabled open and interoperable system architecture and platform delivering enhanced value around safety, reliability, efficiency, sustainability and connectivity for our customers.
Today’s smart buildings demand simple integration across systems and easy access to the latest IoT devices, and an environment that keeps buildings and occupants safe. EcoStruxure Building allows buildings to optimise comfort and productivity for occupants, maximise building efficiency and increase building value. From design, through integration to commissioning, EcoStruxure Building brings best-in-class engineering efficiency to a building, for both commercial and residential spaces.
3. What kind of innovations do you further plan to bring about in your security portfolio for India?
The Indian market is an important and a growing market for Pelco, as we were the first surveillance company to include a BIS certification across the entire product line. India is seeing more requirements for integrated rather than standalone security systems, which is great for Pelco considering that our main competitive advantage is our ability to provide end-to-end video surveillance solutions. One product that we feel leads the security industry is VideoXpert – our video management system. With features like Intelligent Analytic Overlays and Vx Maps, VideoXpert provides a robust AI solution.
4. What are your views on the security market size in India and what more can be done to make its citizens more safe and secure?
The Indian market significantly contributes to Pelco’s global revenues. At Pelco, we don’t just sell products; we provide solutions that meet all types of security needs. We help our partners deliver solutions for specific verticals. It is our duty to understand end-users’ needs and challenges, so our partners can provide the best solutions at the best price.
5. Please let us have your views on the IFSEC India show and work done by it in promoting the security culture in India.
IFSEC India is a great show which showcases products and solutions across length and breadth of security industry. It is consistently happening for last so many years. It not only brings awareness about new technologies but is also a great platform for all security professionals to come together under one roof.
