To deliberate upon new categories and, to find out parameters to further enhance the existing categories and to incorporate views of industry stalwarts and partners, a pre-jury advisory meet was held on 31st May, 2019 at Hotel Le Meridien, New Delhi. This meet was facilitated by Ernst & Young, who are the process advisors for the awards. The deliberations among the participants began with discussions around the last jury meet and key takeaways from there. Since most solutions are OEM driven, it was observed that innovative technology solutions must be recognized and encouraged. Further, nominations that showcase women security must be encouraged and concrete steps taken to highlight their security concerns must be taken. Another key point discussed was to not just have a fit-for-purpose solution but encourage a risk-based approach towards ensuring security.

Special attention was given to incorporating steps to encourage women participation in the awards process. This includes constituting special awards for entrepreneurial women in security domain. This would add an element of ingenuity to the whole awards process and also help differentiate this edition better as compared to previous ones. It was also observed that the use of latest in technology such as IoT, AI and Deep learning solutions should be encouraged as these are going to play a big role in the security industry going forward.
